A Beautiful Way to Start the Year!

At our Casa de Gracia site, we have made so much progress in all the construction and infrastructure work but there is still an overwhelming amount of work to be done. Especially in the area of making it beautiful again with strategically placed plants, trees and flowers!

During the very first week of 2026, friend and ministry partner, Annie Thurber, brought a team from her sending church, South Tulsa Baptist Church. They spent the entire day on site with us and our Casa de Gracia staff.

We spent time sharing the mission and vision, the ‘Who, Why and How’ of Casa de Gracia.

We enjoyed getting to know each other, sharing our stories, and even worshipping together!

After enjoying a meal together, we got to work!

They worked so hard toiling in the dirt, digging, weeding and sweating in order to help us!

They helped us clean up a lot of trash and debris. There was also much work to be done to maintain and weed around trees and flowers that others have helped us plant! It’s so important to us to steward well all the beauty that God has given us here on this property. And that includes lots of care for the trees and flowers others have come and helped us plant!

They also helped plant some new trees!

And because dry season is real and rough, they helped us fully water all of them!

Thank You for joining us in our efforts to steward well this beautiful property God has provided us. Thank You so much for helping us make this a place of beauty and healing for each young person that will be part of our program.

Each one of them is worth all the toiling!
