The Campus

The Casa de Gracia campus sits on several acres of land on the outskirts of Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala.

Once complete—the campus will contain two duplex-style structures (a separate home on each level) for a total of four transition homes for the young women in our residential program.

A metal-working trade school and workshop will be the center of vocational training and mentorship for the young people in our day program.

There will also be a large multipurpose building capable of hosting events or medical clinics, a building with office space for our staff, several small apartments for visiting instructors, a state-of-the-art water purification and bottling plant, and the Smith family's residence.

Compound

A solid perimeter wall surrounds the campus. A guard house staffed with 24/7 security ensures that residents are both welcomed and protected.

Transition Homes

Four transition homes will eventually be built on the campus, arranged as two duplex-style structures. Each floor functions as a separate home, complete with bedrooms, kitchen, dining, and living spaces.

Living Arrangements

The residential environment is intentionally designed to feel home-like instead of institutional.

  • Living arrangements are roommate / college-dorm style

  • No more than two young women per room

  • Shared spaces encourage community while respecting privacy

Each duplex includes one larger shared space that connects both levels and supports group activities, teaching, and study.

The physical design supports the program goals of fostering independence and responsibility, while also providing safety, belonging, and community.

Trade School

A state-of-the-art workshop equipped for metal-working, forging, leather crafts, and other trades is nearing completion. Built in partnership with Redeemed Steel, it is expected to be one of the most advanced workshops in the country.

Multipurpose Building

The multipurpose building will be a flexible space for hosting visiting medical clinics, workshops, training events, and ministries. Plans call for a two level design, with meeting rooms below and a wide-open covered terrace above.

Offices and Apartments

Situated between the guard house and the trade school, this two-level structure will have room for office and meeting spaces below and two small apartments above for visiting instructors or staff.

Well

After months of drilling work, we eventually struck water at a depth of nearly 200 meters. Solar powered pumping equipment means we have an abundant source of fresh water at all times.

Water Purification

An on-site water purification system and bottling plant will allow us to provide a critical resource to our residents, staff, and the surrounding community.

learn to do good;
seek justice,

bring justice to the fatherless,
