Carrying Heavy Burdens—Together

Updated: 19 hours ago

This context we work in can be pretty heavy most days.

The reality of the young people that we are creating this program and constructing these buildings for is pretty brutal to be honest.

Their stories are hard to hear.

Their wounds are deep.

The generational cycles of abuse and neglect that continue damaging hearts and minds need to be broken.

It’s heavy and heartbreaking work many days.

It is also beautiful and necessary.

It is the Gospel in action, the hope and healing that is only found in Jesus!

And as hard as it is, it’s what we are called to do.

And praise the Lord, we are not alone in this work! There are many others doing all they can everyday to step into this huge need.

What a blessing and encouragement it is to link arms together in this battle for the invisible and at risk young people around us.

This is bigger than any of us can do alone.

God continues to connect us with others working in this context and we are truly grateful.

We all feel encouraged when we can spend time together, sharing and praying together.

We pray for these young people whose stories break our hearts.

We pray for each other that God will enable us to keep going.

We pray together for the provision of resources we need to truly help these young people.

These prayers are humble and heartfelt and strengthen us to stay in this battle.

We don’t often share about this side of our work but it’s important to know the “Why” of Casa de Gracia!

We will continue to share more about this but for now, we ask you to join us in praying for each young person and each of us stepping into this need.
