Recently, our staff successfully completed the Competent Caregiver in Trauma (CCT) course, delivered by Iniciativas de Alcance, a comprehensive training that spanned over several months and represented a valuable opportunity for both personal and professional growth.

This process was marked by profound learning about the impact of trauma in the lives of very vulnerable groups, providing us with compassion-focused companionship strategies and practical tools to respond effectively to those who have lived through difficult experiences.

Throughout the course, each team member engaged with enthusiasm and dedication, strengthening their sensitivity, empathy and abilities to provide more informed care, in trauma.

As a team, we are convinced that this knowledge not only transforms the way we work, but also the way we relate and accompany those who need it most.

We are deeply motivated to continue training on these topics, as we firmly believe that trauma-informed intervention can make a difference in the lives of our Casa de Gracia

residents and the community we will be working with in the near future.

learn to do good;
seek justice,

bring justice to the fatherless,
   plead the widow's cause.
