When God invites you to coffee…

We have a saying that others have used to encourage us and we continue to use to when we need a shot of encouragement or maybe just a dose of reality.

“When God invites you to coffee, He plans to pay”

In other words, this idea, this dream, is not ours.

It was and still is God’s. He is the one who invited us into it. He is the One with the plan.

The plan for each young person He will bring to be part of the program. The plan for each staff member , mentor and volunteer. The plan for the all provision of funds.

We can easily get overwhelmed as we look at all that still lies ahead of us. But this simple saying reminds us to trust our God and look at all that He has already done!

This is not only a huge encouragement but also a huge relief! And actually beyond that, it is really exciting! What an amazing thing to think about The Creator of the universe being in charge, and not us! And the fact that He has invited us into this with Him…humbling and convicting.
