We are so excited to announce that we have finally been granted the needed permits to be able to continue construction!!! The process took a lot longer than expected {big under statement here 😅}, but we are praising God that in his perfect timing we are moving forward!
We are beyond ready and beyond excited!
So now that we have the ‘Go Ahead’…here’s the order we're planning to start construction:
FIRST: drilling a well and installing the septic!
Much easier said than done in our location and context so this will involve a lot of logistics and excavation! But we have an amazing crew that is ready to tackle it all with great equipment and a great plan!
SECOND: the first Transition Home!
Because of the location on the property of this home, only more basic excavation will need to be done.
FINALLY: as rainy season ends in November we can begin excavation for the trade school! This will require more complicated excavation and therefore need to be done during the dry season.
Now that God has provided the construction permits, we are continuing to pray that he will also provide the remaining funds needed to build these homes.
Please join us in praying that the Lord will touch the hearts of those he wants involved and provide the funds as needed. We have seen him provide time and time again and know that He will do it !
One way He has already provided is through the Redeemed Steel ministry. They are generously funding the Trade School, from construction to materials to instructors. We are so blown away by how lavishly God provides through his people and how they steward the resources he has given them with such generosity.
He has also surrounded us with over SEVENTY amazing individuals and families who have financially contributed to the vision of Casa de Gracia, and countless more who support us in prayer and by sharing with others what's happening down here in Guatemala.
Please join us in praying that he will continue to grow the Casa de Gracia family and provide all the funds necessary. We feel such an urgency to continue construction so that we can welcome these young ladies into their new home SOON!
God is so good and HE is building this house!
